I did a ground up build on a really nice chassis about 22 years ago. It changed hands twice ending up with jerhofer, who took it up several notches. It’ll be fun to watch and see what it hammers at.

I am very interested in the drive by wire. What foot pedal was used? Looks like a great build @echocanyons not sure what @jerhofer used for a pedal. I have been contemplating a drive by wire setup and so far I found:
Using a OEM 987/997 pedal appeals to me so thinking of using the top half of Rennline's 987/997 fully adjustable gas pedal (installed one on my 987.2 Cayman) and making a custom mounting bracket similar to the one TOP.Design produced. Hope this helps, Ken |

Thanks for the info Ken!
Turbo Kraft also previously sold a drive by wire pedal. https://parts.turbokraft.com/collections/91...=32214124265530 The connection can attach to a Jenvey actuator or probably any similar standard type. It would be nice to have this over the cable driven version. Definitely requires an engine management system though. Anyone else go this route or have thoughts on a solution? |

I am going with drive by wire for the flat fan conversion. I am going to use a Nissan 350Z throttle pedal sensor. It will all be tied back into the MS3Pro for the ability to run traction control. So I can actually have a hope of driving it in the rain without roasting the tires. But I am definitely adding a button to turn off the traction control in the dry. ![]() I will take the roller off the arm, and add a Porsche ball stud. I will make a hole in the top of the tunnel behind the pedal box, and mount it there. I will use a rod to hook it to the stock throttle linkage. I will also add a throttle return spring between the pedal bellcrank and the chassis until I get the correct feel from the gas pedal. Then I will add one of these to run it... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/uploads_offsite/shop.fullest.fi-1143-1743768550.1.png) And at the engine end, I am using a pair of BMW M3 throttle actuators, one for each cylinder bank. ![]() |

That is just a bit too far for me. WCR and the NE Gathering are the two major 914 events we have not attended. It's a bucket list thing. |

Yea.. that's great. It won't happen this year. I have to get my car back up and running first. And that won't happen before this event.
Plus, I have to have enough vacation time. I just started a new job in January, so I don't have that next. |
