Whoever designed the center tunnel access at the pedal box area should have been dragged into the parking lot and summarily executed.
I'm sure Hans & Gunther on the assembly line who had to connect the cables way down in there were cussing the designer every day.
I'm in the process of installing new throttle cable and find the pivot assembly that the throttle pedal & throttle cable attach to is way sloppy, so i've ordered new bushings for that bit but not looking forward to getting in there to take the pedal box out (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif)

Look at the bright side, soon it will be like new and won't need attention for another 1/2 century

Take the seat out, center console and steering wheel. Down a fistful of ibuprofen… get a bright light and hope your back recovers before the driving season is gone. Enjoy!

Throw a nice thick folded moving blanket on the floor to soften up any hard spots.
