I have the new 914Rubber air box seal and a new screen. Should the seal be glued to the air box with the screen mounted in the rubber seal?
And, any tips on this

I did this on the pumpkin she is a 1970. I did not glue. I watched Ian Karr's video on this and it was great help. Rubber Bands to the rescue.

Thanks, I watched Ian’s video. What size rubber bands do I need; and, where can I buy them ?

Id try the dollar store, they have an assortment bag. the ones I used were about maybe 1/2" wide and long.
I read somewhere that if you loosen the supports on either side of where box goes it gives you a little more wiggle room.
Once box is in just cut the rubber bands.

oh and also it helps to have an extra set of hands for the install and don't forget to put the cable back on the bottom of box before you install that clip to hold the cable is a bitch to get on.

Have a great long weekend.

I've also used silicone lube to reduce the friction on the upper seal on the airbox...helps everything slide right into place.
