Years ago I put a flipped HB gearset in my 2.4L six as 5th gear. With 16 inch 944 turbo wheels and tires, the six had too low of RPM at 60 mph for my taste. So I put in a ZD in place of it. I have the same thing in Betty's 914- for 5th gear, and it is perfect with 15 inch, 50 series tires. I don't need this one so I am selling it.

The dog teeth are perfect. I put new ones on when I rebuilt the transmission. I only had it in the car for about 6 months before I replaced it.

$250.00 + shipping.

@worn
Are the rest of your ratios stock 914?
Seems like a big drop between 4th and 5th... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)
Here is the graph with 24.9 diameter tires (ex: 205-55-16)

That was a great price! Anyone doing a water cooled car will want that ratio. I have that in the 901 I was using in the Alien. Lowered the RPMs.

Yea, it's a huge drop from forth to fifth. But with 205/50-15s on the car, it makes it so the car can drive on the highway without screaming at almost 4k the whole time.

Boy, I'd love this - i'm running 195/55's (and I like it) and having that long 5th would be great on the interstate....another thing on the list.

I have this one coming from Clay. It's gonna be a winter project build.
I plan on running it in a 901 with a 904 shaft so it'll be a second gear for me.
