Located: Huntsville, AL (90 minutes south of Nashville)
1.7L motor (W-series case) - Dual Weber carbs (Spain-manufacture) - Linkage included - 1.7 SSI Heat Exchangers - Muffler - Flywheel & pressure plate - both serviceable - Will throw in the muffler I was using. - Will throw in a new facet fuel pump Story: This engine came in my aubergine car when I bought it in California. I probably put less than 10,000 miles on it since then. If you were at the Rocket City Ramble, this is the motor we R&Rd for the tech session... then drove to Jack Daniels Distillery for the poker run. The good: Running strong & cool when pulled in May. All the blades on the cooling fan are intact. Currently resting indoors on a pallet. Carbs rebuilt by Zims Autotechnique less than 1500 miles ago at a cost of $800. The bad: It's dirty and the tin could use repainting. Oil drain plug replaced with an oversized one before I bought the car. Pop it in your car and drive it. Or, remove & paint tin, proactively replace seals, and make it pretty. Priced to sell at $1914. Prefer local pickup. Pictures to follow tomorrow. |

Great deal for anyone that needs a plug and play motor. 1.7's get a bad wrap but are nearly bulletproof ( except from Rustys markmenship ) and get great mileage.
