It’s been a while hope everyone is doing well.
While random web surfing, I seen FCP Euro is offering new 2.0 heads (Empi I believe) With 42 or 44 valves….advertising stainless parts etc etc….I know some people have issues with Empi stuff…..does anyone here have first hand knowledge or experience with these? Also watched a short video on them on YouTube. They are saying they don’t need to be reworked as some suggest the new AA heads should be. May be an option opposed to buying AA and sending out to be machined. Thoughts? |

They use their own castings (unique from the AA castings) and install Manley valves themselves

Are they upgraded to the 12mm spark plugs or still with the 14mm which tends to crack? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

EMPI "SV4" stage 2 use 14mm plugs. But, you'll need 103 to 105mm bores. They have other versions of these heads.
https://pmbperformance.com/products/new-emp...;pr_seq=uniform My thoughts are that you might be better off starting with bare AA heads and having a competent shop machine you a pair of heads that fits exactly what you need for the combination and proposed purpose. Depending on what you want/need, you'll probably spend less too. |
