Anyone find an alternative to the black braided rubber hoses connecting the fuel injection intake manifold? Too bad there is not a silicone hose that would fit?

Look for some 36mm silicone hose. 2.0L intake size. Maybe get 4 out of this

John, I tried straight hoses on my street car and the injector rails were interfering with various places.
Those curved hoses are not expensive, I suggest just going back to that. https://914rubber.com/fuel-injector-line-el...for-porsche-914 |

The suggestion made is probably the cheapest. I’d measure yours to get the right size. I believe the 1.8/2.0 had larger runners. I looked into this at one point for my 1.7 runners. I don’t like how the OEMs fray… but I ended up using the OEM’s as I was afraid of leaks. You barely notice them with the air cleaner and all the hoses running over the engine.

I assume you are looking for the 1.7 size hose? 1.8/2.0 hose was still available in braided last I looked. You can get any hose size in silicone |
