Hello Gang,
I was going to ask this question in my 1975 - 1.8 build thread, but I'm not getting a lot of traction with my questions over there... My question is, shouldn't the climate control sliders be able to slide all the way to the left? My three sliders all stop about 1.5" to 2" short of going all the way left. ![]() In the photo above, all three sliders are as far to the left as they can go without being held up by something. Is that normal? or is there some sort of adjustment I need to make to correct this alignment? Thank you, Ted |

You can adjust the cables in the frunk on the drive side. You can see where the cables come through and attach to vent control box. I struggled with this for awhile and finally got it. Only a small baby adjustment and then test. Good luck. |

All should travel from far left to far right with no 'spring back' Old dry cables and lack of use makes them resist full travel. Getting them all to cooperate can be very time consuming. While you're in there check for melted plastic between the fan contacts. Make sure the fan works properly on all three speeds. |

mine don't make it all the way to the end of the slot.
stop in a line all about 1/2 the distance yours do from left hand end of slot. its a 1.8, but i converted it to right hand drive 35 years ago. i have dim memory of dealing with it. heater/vent control unit ends up further right of where they are in a lhd car. seem to remember a bit of fiddling about but its a long time ago. but it can be done - as described by other poster. |

My 75's identical to yours. Top two will move all the way left, red one sits about 1/2" away. Could probably adjust a cable or stop point, but everything works, so I'm not touching it.
