One ratchet strap, solid object or tow hook in my case. Make double loop wire and connect everything. Start pulling. Took less than 5 min for both sides.

I just prop the hood up to max and pull on the spring with a pair of gloves. Works for me.

Me too. I use a stick of wood and some nylon cording. The stick provides a lever when propped against part of the car. Same principle though.

I got the springs on the first notch with my hands, but used a stick to get them further. To keep the frunk lid up reliably, I ended up on the last notch.
