My cable is new, my boots are toast and I really don't want to snake a cable through the tunnel. I'm pretty sure if I can find new boots I can get them over the cable ends.
Let me know. |

I bought a new cable and it didn't come with the rear boot ,this was some time ago but posted a question on here and others had the same issue but not everyone ?? I remember that some got supplied with the wrong thread where it attaches to the angle drive. I never found a replacement boot and couldn't see how you could fit it besides ,good luck with a solution ,cheers. |

If thy don’t make the factory cable boot anymore, you could always adapt something like this to protect the cable where it attaches.

Original speedo cables with a proper boot are NLA
Older GEMO cables have a correct boot for the bulkhead opening but at the angle drive a boot was present but had not nipple to attach to. I think current cables have no boot and nothing to attach one to. Attached thumbnail(s) |
