Hi all you teeners
My car's idle sticks at 2k if I turn it off and start it immediately it goes back to 950. Looking for a vendor to fix this - I of course rebuilt it when the engine was out. I am sure all was done correctly (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) I believe that the wrong springs may have been in the rebuild kit. Is there a vendor that rebuilds and calibrates these? Thank you Teeners! CTC911CTC |

Wrong springs will not make a dizzy sticky and hold at a given rpm.
Check your sliding advance plate within the dizzy. Check your carb linkage |

He can also make adjustments to the advance progression as needed. |

I might first watch the timing marks and see if they correspond (advancing) with the engine speed.
Also, double check you carb synch |

Second vote for Bill at SparxWerks. He has done two distributors for me so far. His work is excellent.
I had the same symptoms you describe, was told it was the distributor sticking, only to find out later that there was a kink in the accelerator cable. Not saying that is the cause of your problem, but something to put on the list to check. |
