What are recommendations for removing water spots from door glass?
As part of my restoration I need to clean up all of my glass, and they are all severally water stained. Tried a little fine steel wool and it didn't do much. Thanks

I have used cerium oxide and a felt buff with good results. Check your progress frequently because you don’t want to alter the shape of the glass or produce ripples.

Depends on if the spots are something on top of the glass or etched into the glass.

If etched in, I used Griot's Garage glass polish with their 6" abrasive pad (looks like a very fine wet/dry sandpaper disc) for glass on my G-9 D/A polisher. I was a bit anxious at first because of the mild abrasive but was amazed at the result and later used it for all the side windows while out of the car in my restoration.

Cerium oxide is a very very fine abrasive. Nowadays you can move from finer to finer diamond grits as well, eventually getting fine enough to look polished.

Check out Ian's how to videos. He has a you tube channel.
He goes through the process on how to clean the glass.
