A friend of mine is moving back to Germany and he's selling his 2015 Audi Q7 3.0T Premium.

Does anyone here have any experience with that model?
Anything to look out for?

I test drove it a few days ago and i really liked it.
It's well maintained and clean.

I did search the interwebs and nothing really stuck out.

PS: This would be a daily driver for the wife and myself and replace our 2011 Mini

Need more info, such as mileage, and if that engine was subject to bore scoring so scope it if you can. I love my 2013 Cayenne, very similar to Q7, but mine is a diesel. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif)

Timing chain is probably your worst nightmare at back of engine. Basically an engine pull to address it.

Any codes related to timing or timing correlation would be a showstopper.

Probably not a concern with well maintained reasonable mileage car but would get a good shop to do PPI.

If you are going to do any work yourself you’ll need access to VW/Audi or high end aftermarket diagnostics with extended codes and service resets. Even basic maintenance like changing rear pads requires diagnostics to activate electronic parking brake etc.

I maintain a 2012 BMW and getting and keeping ISTA running diagnostics is a nightmare unto itself. Maybe VW Audi offer better diagnostic support? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

2015 avoids lots of the ADAS (IMG:style_emoticons/default/stromberg.gif) that can be even worse to maintain
