I'm the widow of Brent Brock. His 914 probably has an alternator that needs to be repaired or replaced. Can anyone recommend a trustworthy shop/mechanic? I know that he connected with someone in this area, but I don't know the man's name.

Elizabeth, I can’t tell you how sorry I am for your loss of Brent.

I’m over in Coeur d’ Alene now full time. I don’t have a local recommendation or know who he may have been in contact with local to Bozeman but want you to know that if you need anything or can’t find a solution over there I’m 6 hours away and will do anything I can do to assist you.

Check your messages on this site. I will provide you with my phone number.

Phil

I'm in LA and probably ZERO help but let's get this done.

I think of Brent frequently as I copied a bunch of his stuff on my car.

Anyone remember anything about Brent meeting up or finding a couple 914’s locally?

I’ve been searching some old posts but haven’t found it yet.

I’ve sent a couple PM’s but haven’t heard anything back.

Elizabeth,
I followed and conversed with Brent until we lost him, Really miss his enthusiasm for our cars. My son lives in Billings and I visit him frequently from Minneapolis. I probably have a spare alternator I can have rebuilt and bring your way. I will be there for 10 days in a week or so and might be able to come your way and help you. If not I will be in the valley in August and have some free time. There is also a shop west of four corners that I have seen working on older Porsches that might be an option.
Looking at a calendar I might be free on July 14.
Let me know if I can be of any assistance
Jule
