Cleaning around the passenger seat getting ready for Sunday’s concours. When done I saw this doo-dad in the middle of the passenger carpet. See pics. Wasn’t there before!
Any clue as to what it is and where it goes? About 5/16” long. Looks sort of like a window glazing point but clearly not. Imagine it’d be REAL hard to replace if lost. Thanks! ![]() ![]() |

I've never seen it in a 914.
What else have you placed in the car. |

I've never seen it in a 914. What else have you placed in the car. I really wish I knew. The consensus here and at the NNJR PCA Concours today is that it's not from a 914.. Maybe (?) looks like a window glazing point, but is stainless? Just appeared in center of passenger carpet while cleaning that side seat/cushion prepping for the concours. The wrenchmen (my favorite obscure Twilight Zone reference...)? Have used the car for hardware bucket jobs in decades. |

If you were getting ready for a concours, did you use any power tools. Polisher, vacuum, toolbox, etc. sit them in the passenger footwell …

What radio do you have in the car? Maybe it's a piece of mounting bracket from an aftermarket radio installation.

Looks like the belt clip off of a Dewalt drill/baby impact driver.
I remove and throw those puppies away every time I buy new units. I wear a baby impact out in the same time period that the batteries last... |
