SOLD
I recently removed the 1.8 from my car and replaced it with a 2 liter. I'll be parting out the components of the 1.8. The Bursch exhaust is in good condition with just light surface corrosion. Welds are solid. The exhaust has been on the car since about 2000 and has less than 10,000 miles on it. Would prefer local pickup in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area, but can ship at the buyers expense. Run the estimates yourself with the following: Shipping origination: St. Paul, MN 55108 Box measures 11"x17"x46" and weighs 20 pounds. Actual weight may vary as this was done on a home scale. I'm happy to take detailed pics or provide any other information you might need. Asking $200 plus shipping. FOR SHIPPING COST REFERENCE: Using Piratebay for shipping estimates to west coast zips shows UPS estimates of $68 (UPS Ground) and $88 (UPS Ground Saver). My FedEx account wanted $115+. I’m interested. I’m in the PNW so I just need to figure out shipping. Do you have any videos of the old engine running with this muffler on the car? It would be great to be able to hear what it sounds like on the 1.8. DM me and I will share my contact information.

Hello, Bursch is a great muffler that has mild sound but not too silent like the original stock muffler. Just right for a residential neighborhood. Later, you can just replace the muffler itself with magnaflow, and use the same pipe. |

Unfortunately, I do not. I've always considered it "sporty" sounding - louder than an average car, but by no means obnoxious or disturbing. For reference, I'm putting a Triad on which will be 2x as loud, but still not as loud as a motorcycle or muscle car.

Don't know if this is helpful, but here's a video of my 2.0 running at high idle with a Bursch exhaust. I would guess it would sound similar on a 1.8.
