Hi,
I am looking for information on the wall thickness for the 1 1/4" square tubes that I am planning to build my rotisserie out of. There seem to be many choices, and I don't want to use stock that is too thin (it will bend) or to thick ($$ steel = weight). I am planning to build rolling base with cage frames that I can add on (see image).

He doesn't have a shop...

It's "Fred's Backyard Fabrication and Porsche Restoration Services"

Wonder how much of the house could be written off for business expenses!
It's usually done by sq ft "used in the business".
I'm betting there is more square feet in the backyard than the house itself!

Yeah, that’s about right. I will highly recommend cleaning and priming everything before you start handling the metal. That Cosmoline stuff they put on it makes a mess. See post #75 on how I built rotisserie #2 for the LE. I used 1-1/2” tubing on my first one and it was too heavy to rotate to a 90 without 2 people. Going down to 1-1/4” tubing for the LE made things more manageable. It was plenty strong enough and I could rotate it by myself. Something to think about.
