After everyone else had headed home, I met with the representative from the charity.
We raised $400 to donate to help kids in the Moab community.

My plan was to hang in Moab for another day and go on a White Water Rafting Trip. When I showed up at the location at 6:30 AM on Monday, they informed me the trip had been cancelled, (contrary to what they told me 48 hours earlier when I paid in full and confirmed my reservation). (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/flipa.gif) They offered me a mellow half day float trip that afternoon or another white water expedition on Wednesday. (no discount for the inconvenience) No Thanks. Or as Zois would say - "Bite Me".

I thought about booking a Jeep trip, but I decided I would have more fun on the road with Elvira. It was a good excuse to turn my planned long way home trip into the extra, extra, loooong way. I packed my stuff and checked out of the hotel. I headed south towards 4 corners.

This road sign made me think of Sir Andy.

The sights at Natural Bridges were not as spectacular as some of the other Parks.
However, the one way 9 mile loop was a great auto cross course.

At lunch I was looking at the map and figured out a way to make the trip even longer.
If I added a 170 mile detour I could ride the Ferry across Lake Powell.

The Capitan had the truck and van drive on first and stop as soon as all 4 wheels were on the ramp.
A couple of well placed blocks of wood and I was able to make it on the Ferry.
