Shit I don't know... I need some feedback on prepping for paint. THetcar seems to have about 3-4 coats of paint onit. I think to get a nice finish it should be taken down to bare metal... I'm sure I have pelenty to dobefore I get that far though. Fuel ines, brake lines, etc. I'm sure those need to be replaced.. I am very open to suggestions. I would like to drive the car befoe I retire though.

YYeeeks... it's done for..

I'll give ya 300 bucks for the whole car......

Ok, Ok, Ok, It's fixable... By anyone other than me. I just talk and act interested.

Looks like if Skline can show up he can give ya some pointers on the rust repair.

Skline IS the real deal.. He welds up and fixes stuff I woulda trashed or given up on.
And it looks spot on.. (unless Aaron helps)

Looks like a good time. Sounds like 10 guys will be there.

Lets see... At 1.5 Lbs of steak per 10 guys. Plus bri's family.. Hmmm That equals 49 Lbs of Prime Steaks. Plus .. Let's see.. 10 guys times 30 beers equals 300 beers plus Bri's family equals 534 beers and two bottles of water for me.....

Dude... you should get this engine pulled for a little under a grand..!!!!

Crap I forgot about the potato salad... Make that a bit over a grand.

OhCrap... I forgot about the shrimp cocktail.... equals 130.00 USD Plus.........

Fugit... Cook burgers...... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

The rust in the engine compartment really isn't that bad. Well I don't think so... THe holes are actually smaller then they appear. The rotos are nothing. Need replacement, just thought it was funny how bad they appear.

Shit I beeter go take out an equity loan to pay for beer... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)

I am thinking that you and Kevin should come over at least to watch. If I dont have to work, I will be there. I have dropped an engine and tranny in less than an hour by myself. As the locals will tell you, I had a lot of practice. If I can get my speedo drive gear fixed in the Chalon, I may drive it down, otherwise, it will be the truck and some parts for you. I know I have a good set of rear rotors here. I also have a few jacks and stands too. Tell Kevin (Kdfoust) to wait on his car and then we will all go over to his house and help him with his car. Is he doing the 6 in his green car? I was wondering what happened to him, he used to come out to all of our runs and events. Great guy. I may be working tonight which would put me in line to work again this weekend but maybe it will be Sunday and not Saturday. We will see.

Hey Scott. Kevin here. Yup, 3.2-6 into the green car. The engine is here. No f'n waiting on this -6 conversion. I've been messing around with engines for this car too long already. I already got the crew lined up. Three of "the crew," will kick my a** if I don't get this engine in the car post-haste!

See ya round,
Kevin

I'm gunna bring my good old trusty RED tool box with me just for Shi%s and Grins...

Ya just never know what we may need...

Why don't you spend a bit "O" time and make a list of all the stuff you might need for this project. And POST IT HERE..!!!!

At least if any of us has some extras we can bring em with us.

So what ya need?

C'Mon dude.. I have a storage full of parts. You will help me by helping you...

Twystd1

New addition to list of things I need. Exhaust.. rusted all to hell. I know it's expensive and everyone wants one, but if you don't ask you don't know.. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Carbs, again center console, . Once the engine is out, I'm sure I will come up with a great deal more.. I have a feeling I haven't even scratched the surface.
