you guys react just the same as the german guys - they also thought it's something from Abarth or Zagato (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif)
but it's not (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/happy11.gif) |

Yeah...I bet it's British...the rear lenses look like Austin Mini. Could it be a Mini-Marcos?

No way... I know MG's and Triumphs... Plus it appears to be rear engined... any proper englishman would never put an engine in the back of the car (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |

Like I said... no proper englishman would do it. Hillman... bastard child at best. Real British cars have the engine in the front, no roll up windows and intermitent electrical problems (usually when it rains) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) |

o.k.
it's a so called IMP 700 GT - IMP is a shortcut for Intermeccanica Puch Intermeccanica was an Italian car producer, Puch an Austrian they did a joint venture, based on a Puch 500, took a bigger engine (650 ccm) and made an alloy body this car only has 45 PS but "runs like hell" due to its weight it's hight is only 95 cm (37.4") one of these cars won its class at the Nurburgring race 1964 (IMG:http://www.intermeccanica.org/vehicles/imp/Imp_at_Nurburgring.jpg) only about 20 cars were produced - 5 still exist I took the following photos at the "Classic Expo" (oldtimer fair) in Salzburg (Austria) Attached image(s) |

very cool Gustl..thanks! So this car has no relationship to the Sunbeam IMP, right? These tiny motorcycle powered cars are a hoot....I had an NSU Prinz in the '70's...500cc Puch powered I think.
