Have her also check out the "cars for sale" section of oldbug.com.
It's a local place in So. Cal, but they have lots of pics online and some great cars.
There's usually a few buses listed. Some are $40,000. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/blink.gif)

If I even tranplant a motor into my Westy it will be a 2.4L six with MFI. I have seen two of those and they rock! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/aktion035.gif)

My 73 bus has a Porsche 2.4/6 in it. Just make sure the trans you use is geared right. When the Cap'n built mine, he used a 901 with 914 gearing. The sucker kicks a$$!

Spoke with my coworker with the bus this morning and she says the first $200 takes it and she would like it gone in two weeks.

$200? sounds like a deal to me unless its completely a rustbucket.

They are pretty easy to work on, valves are easy to adjust compared to a 914. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)
