I love how the media writes a story to make it better..." a hunting arrow" makes it sound more dangerous.

If it was a "hunting arrow" instead of a regular field point arrow he wouldn't be alive.

Think this would have missed a major artery while spinning into his head @ 250 ft per sec? Not!!

MAN DRILLS THROUGH SKULL

A Californian man is lucky to be alive after an accident on a construction site.

Ron Hunt was drilling into a wall when the ladder he was standing on slipped.


His head was impaled on the drill bit.

Surgeons had to literally unscrew the tool from his skull.

Mr Hunt lost the sight in his right eye but still considers himself to be a very lucky man.

Yeah. The x-ray showed it was a field point. I'm going to have to dig it up when I get to school tomorrow (hope I haven't tossed it).

Now, that shot of the drill bit/auger just looks nasty!

...then there was the time I had a student put a glass rod through his hand...
