Hot damm Chris, that is looking great. You picked a good color, Mercedes silver wasn't it?

''
Actually no. I went down and changed the color to a Porsche color... its in this thread on one of these pages. 2005 GT Silver Metallic. I love the color.

As for the rivits. They may be black further on but as of now no, just b/c of the door handles are still chrome so they look good together.

17" you said Aaron. I haven't decided. But probably some turbo twists. Not sure if I want the BBS racing look but thats yet to be decided. Any suggestions?!

Cris,

car really looks nice. Cool touch with the riveted-on flares.

Do you mind sharing with us the itemized total on the bill? Work done?

Thanks

Brian

I will do my best.

total bill was $3860

Work done:

Fitting 916 bumpers, GT Flares and rockers. Fixing all my rust, inside and outside. Taking of the chrome trims of the rear of the targa as well as grinding away the "flap" that the trim sits on. Fixing the waves on the side of the car. they spend alot of work on that.

I think that's it for now. I probably remember more as I go on.

Did some more work on the car today. I installed front/rear trunk weather striping as well as both doors. My PO had painted the car WITH the striping on so it is ALL red. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/headbang.gif) so now I have to get new ones. Well, I have to do so anyways but I was hoping it wasn't that bad as it is. But I painted it for now since I need the car ASAP.
(IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif)

I had some issues trying to mount this piece, don't know the name of it. But for the front window where the targa sits, should there be 2 weather seals and the black ??? that has the sun visors on it. If anyone got a picture on how to it would be great.

Back to work tomorrow again. and yes, more pics will come later this week. Waiting for the sun to kick in

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/mueba.gif) chris the color looks great

i'm thinking of taking mine down there, how much did you strip off the car?

from what you left did they mask off or just paint over , such as your wiring harness?

as cost goes can you break down paint , rust repair , body mods? just wondering to guesstimate what mine will run..

Thanks George

also are you going to the g &r bbq in riverside this weekend? if so bring the car, even if your towing it

I can't this weekend. [UNLESS all of you want to help me getting the engine in and running (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) ] I will finish the engine and get it in the car. Too bad, but it has to be done. Then I'll be crusing around for BBQ's all over Cali.

A break down, basically look at my car before and after and you will have a good view. I did more work on it down there than most guys have done I think. They know its time consuming therefore price is up a little higher now than before. I think they said 800-1500 for paint only. Not sure though.

Cris,

I'm going to have a complete 9146 5 lug setup from a factory six ready next week if you want it. The brake pads are good and it has Koni Adjustable shocks.

This is complete front and rear setup.

Let me know...

I also want to know why you were pulled over down there. I'm hoping it didnt have anything to do with my trailer.

You should mask it over to keep crap out. Its not hard. Its the same as you putting the bags in the intakes.

Cris,

I ordered:

Oil filter
fan belt
spark plugs
intake boots
fuel filter

All the above will arrive by 9am

They didnt have in SD:

Plug wires
One cone screw for shift linkage

Contact SEan about the cross bar.

We will need CV gaskets also along with new CV bolt washers.
I'll order those tonight also.

I already have the intake gaskets. I'll give you those.

Not sure what you want to do about the tranny mounts. I would run the WEVO mounts, but they are pricey (best in breed however)

Thanks Brad!

How much is Pricey? Do I just need a simple stock one if I can find one? (hint hint guys) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)
GO with whatever you feel is needed. I am fine with what works, nothing fancy is needed for this right now.

Again Brad thanks for your help
