Can you please mail me the same pics? My car is in for paint right now -I'm undecided between tangerine and pheonix. This looks great.

PM me with your email address.

Yes indeed Trekkor.
Prep for TT #2.
Should have the car by Tues or Wed.
All trim goes back on, rollbar and fire ext, attach shoulder belts to fire wall instead of harness bar, headers, new hubs, brakes, reposition fuel pump, oil cooler and lines. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) And I am also re-upholstering the door panels, installing RS door handles, removing the radio and underdash amplifier, speakers. removing firewall insulation on both sides and possibly upholstering the insided of the firewall with vinyl instead of behind the seat pad. Leaves more room for belts and seat movement.

Not all that much to do (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/sad.gif) (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/huh.gif)

you bet! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif)
I want to take my time with reassembly. Do a really nice neat job. Especially the door panels and behind the seats.
After everything is done then it will go to the shop for corner balance and 4 wheel alignment. And a little tweek of the FI control unit.
I forgot valve adjustment, oil change, tuna can, tune up blah blah blah.

so what is the verdict?
I have emailed pics to at least 3 folks, what do you guys think.
You going to do a Phoenix Red repaint?

You wont' be sorry...especially for a track car.

All you need is some Jagermeister graphics and you got yourself a classic racecar look! (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)

I'm sticking with Olympic Blue. I havent seen many track cars with that color. And its cheaper for me to go that way since my paint is in decent shape.

I really like the color of your car however.

thanks Grant,

My post actually was referring directly to the folks that had Pmd me about hi res pics. They were all considering painting their cars Phoenix.

Olympic blue with orange stripes like Greg Brauns car look great.
Gives it that Gulf Porsche look. Like this

Dan, I went to see my painter this yesterday -trouble is as these are circa 1970 colours he didn't have any paint swatches of L21E (Blutorange) or L32K -Phoenix. Would you have a Pantone reference so I could compare? -Car looks great in the pics but I'm a little worried about committing to a colour having seen it on my monitor (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wacko.gif)

Looking great Dan. Those of us with Phoenix Red cars love 'em. You don't have to worry about seeing another one at most track events either.

Gonna add meatballs and numbers?

Dan,

Are you going to be ready for Infineon this month?

Can't wait to see your car in person!
