QUOTE(Brad Roberts @ Sep 4 2003, 02:48 AM)
The bullshit thickens.

B

I had a seizure last night, I am just remembering yesterday.... sometime after I went back to bed, I got in the shower and *pop* migraine meets diabetes?

It's FUCKING OTTO'S, and another thing, if something happens to me, you'll know where it came from.

I would not buy from him again.

There, I think that is fair enough.

I don't know if the cam has even been through a break-in, and I don't think the builder is going to clue me in.

Assume not.

The cam/lifters MUST have a break-in lube applied.
Most FLAPS have the stuff. The MolyB stuff is best (Molybidium disulfide ...my best shot at speeling it).
Use it or the cam will go flat....it's that simple.
Figure a way to check for it....I donno dick bout t-4s.

Cam break-in is 20 minutes at 2000 rpm......that's what I use.....no stops......unless the oil prressure drops to 0 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif)

I use Valvoline 30 wt non-detergent oil for ring
break- in....100 miles usually does it. I don't break them in easy, either. Make it work.....if it's gonna blow, why waste time, I figure. Just make sure it's up to temp before getting on it hard.

The HEs are mounted, should I also have the muffler on?

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

It will be a nice relaxing few minutes compared to the last month, I hope I can do it out of the car.

Put the muffler on it. You have to run it at 2k for 20 minutes.. no need to be loud about it. Plus.. if the engine does something funky.. you want to hear it happen.

Need? Need!?

I am not so sure I want to hear what happens, but I'll do it to make you happy.

You owe me one.
