The sail panel vinyl was removed and holes filled when Kents's car was painted. It has since been replaced. Not sure on the turnsignal lenses. It has rear defrost, center console, front and rear sway bars. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) I am Kent's dad, the guy working on the new engine management system. http://home.mindspring.com/~dave.c/kitcarlson/ Sold car to help fund development. Have 2 more 914 waiting for restoration. Dave Carlson |

Ok, that is what I have heard. That the last cars made were loaded with all the goodies cuz Porsche wanted to get rid of the parts and the dealers were looking to make a profit selling higher priced loaded cars.
Do you know where this car was orginally bought? Geoff |

I've seen a couple of these posted and they usually list at least one item twice.
This one listed the 5 speed transmission twice. WIERD. |

BTW, one local ugy used to own an original 1976 1.8L 914, build date listed on the door jamb sticker was some time in 1976.
Or at least, that was what he told me. I still have not found anyone else who has owned a factory 76 1.8L, nor a 76 914 with a build date on the sticker of 1976. He could be wrong, or it could be a very rare car.... --DD |

Hmmm, another one of those stories you hear until you see it like the other 914/8 that were sent to the USA.
Mine is listed as 12/75 on the door pillar. Geoff |
