I bet you could string together a nice program of peoples track video. If anyone actually has video of the 70s TV ads, I'd be interested in buying a copy.

'Porsche Nine-Fourteen! Fun! Fun! Fun! Porsche Nine-Fourteen! Fun! Fun! Fun!'... and so on

If you do end up with a ton of different formats, I can maybe help edit a program, Beta to DV, and everything in between.

Speed Channel?? You mean LTTV (Left Turn TV). If you do not like NASCAR or it various iterations, Speed Channel is USELESS!!

I will say that they had a road race on this morning from Austrailia. Vintage and modern cars in a ralley format and that was very cool. First time in 6 months I saw something during normal hours that I liked.

If its not NASCAR, or Tuesday night motorcycle night, then forget seeing it on Speed Channel.

Speed Channel blows chunks IMO.

I dunno Joe, I was actually bummed when Speedvision changed to Speed (that they would show ONLY circle/oval track stuff). But they still whip out a fair amount of road race footage and vintage "Legends" kind of shows. They covered LeMans, Daytona and so forth. All-in-all the programming actually hasn't changed that much IMHO. Thank god.

Mikey...

As you might recall, I have many GB of car/race videos and pics. I just this week acquired a DVD-R drive. Hmmm. A "best of" compilation might be doable. Unfortunately my schedule is pretty wacked lately. I've been working 13+ hours a day. Add on 1.5 hrs/day for commuting, plus a 2-year-old, and that = Minimal Free Time.

First step is to gather up some content. I already have a list of my 25 or so "favorite" video files. I could probably post those for download if somebody else felt like editing & burning compilation discs.

That's great to watch if its your own racing video's. I have a friend who has lots of track video's when he was at Mid-Ohio. I get tired of watching the same ones over and over again......."Here is where I passed this guy for first place"
I prefer the ones where he spins, lol

*COUGH*

Formula 1 and the World Rally Championship can both be caught on Speedvision, and these are definately good stuff. I don't know about regular hours though - I get the TiVo box to record all the good stuff.
