has anyone removed this seal with the windshield in the car...besides Aaron?

Yes.... peel it off carefully (it will crumble some from deterioration).... clean as much debri as possible and snap in new one. Also good time to replace upper dash pad material.

this is coming up for me also, going to get the thing painted, with the glass out of it and figured this would be the time to replace that seal, $80 something bucks at pelican. The dash needs repaired too, but there is only so much money I can toss down the hole right now.

I'll be doing this soon on my car. If you got the German seal, it has metal clips and can be tapped on (I use a dead blow hammer). If you got the cheaper seal, it has to be glued on. You definately want to do this while the windshield is off.

Aaron, my friends call me gorilla paws, does that give you an idea about the size of my hands? no really, I dont feel like pulling the windshield and tearing up the windshield trim...the seal has a couple of cracks, maybe I will wait to replace it...or see how other people do changing the seal.
