That is horrible news Kevin. You and others should repost all the photos of your car, in this thread, so we can all get accustomed to the car.....and parts.

This just blows.

Kevin,

I'll add my voice -- this bites. Hopefully it's a joy rider and the car will be picked up soon. (who steals a 914 to make money?) You can be sure there will be lots of eyes on ebay/etc. (if there are special parts that are identifiable, post descriptions) No need for the buggers to make money easily on this BS.

Kevin.. we need pics and license plate numbers of the car. I'm sure we have enough "eyes" here on this board.. that NOTHING could be sold off the car and us not find out about it.

It might be the local kids, who park it somewhere after a joy ride. But it could be the local druggies, who will try to part it out sooner or later, either on the local black market or e-bay. We'll be looking for it.

If it stays on-shore, it will be found.

Kevin.. you can count on us.

Just curious, do paint shops get some sort of heads up on which cars are stolen and they shouldn't be doing a repaint on?? I mean from the cops. Maybe call the local body/paint shops and see if they've seen the car...

I'm so sorry to hear about this Kevin. There is no worse feeling than that of violation, and loss to boot. If the punks are planning on doing anything 914 related with the car, you can bet your ass we'll find it.

Sorry to hear about your loss.

Print up "wanted posters" on the car and take them around to the local auto parts stores. Most will let you stick them up. The more eyes on the lookout for it the better.

I know it's locking the barn door after the fact, but get an alarm system.
