Wow......... I can't even imagine....... I'm so sorry.

I agree with most of the posts.... no one steals a teener unless it's for "joyride" purposes. I can definately see it being found in a few days..... hopefully it will still be in good shape.

Can't offer much help up here in St. Louis, other than the fact I watch the 914 parts ads on ebay daily. I'll keep an eye out for nice teener parts coming from the WA area.

Just a thought..... I still have this hunch that it was young punks. Young punks like stereos and speakers.... shit like that. Did your car have a stereo in it? Maybe post "stolen car" flyers at local car audio shops?

It's a long shot..... just trying to think of everything.

thanks for all the support and the help. 0 stereo in car. like i thought that would be less of an "enticement" against vandalism. the sherriff i spoke with this am was sympathetic but brutally straight forward. most joy riders take cars off the street and proptly dump them. a "collectable" car in a garage tends to be a planned crime. my guess is someone has a pos rusted hulk with a clear title. my car is probably getting resprayed as i type. i consider it gone unless i get a cheerful phone call. as long as they don't sell it they can tab it indefinately. i'm trying to keep a happy thought but i'm looking at the real conclusion to the whole mess. will i look for a new car? frankly, i don't know. now i get to wait a month for the ordeal with the insurrance co to start. oh boy (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) . 914 people are good folks. no matter what the people that drive "REAL PORSCHES" say. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)

A few weekd ago we caught this 14 year old during 4 successive days, three times in a stolen car and once for shoplifting. All that could be done is fill out the paperwork and take the little bastard home, while he laughs at me all the way home. The last thing he said when we let him out of the Police Car was " See you tomorrow".Juvenile court is so booked that we take armed robbers home if they are juveniles, They practically have to kill somebody. and i will feel compelled to follow every 914 with a new paint job. if i knocked out the teeth of a 16 y.o car thief, think i'll get a ride home? sure if home is the pierce county lock up. the triad is the dead give away. if i see that i'll know who the culprit is.

Sorry about the car Kevin! That sucks big time. I'll keep my eyes open if by chance the car pops up in So. Cal. I don't think it was a joy ride. I think someone had their eyes on it and saw a chance to get it. I know I'll be watching mine a little closer now.

This sucks!! You may also want to send something out to the webmaster of "thesamba" the VW site. They have a stolen section! I guess it's possible it was stolen by vw hacks for parts, wheels engine ect... Just another avenue.

Hope the guy doesn't get into an accident and get paralyzed. In THIS screwed up country, he can SUE YOU.

Hope he stops at a restaurant near your home, and chokes on a cheeseburger. When the cops come to dispose of his carcass, they'll see your car and phone you.
