I have shelves and a work bench in there. My trailer is custom made (by me) to haul 914s only - steel tube frame, aluminum diamond plate decking, single axle, tire rack, light enough for one person to move, 2999lb gross wt. The trailer also doubles as an alignment platform, including a sophisticated corner balance setup that cost about $50 (1 digital bathroom scale, 1 bottle jack, 1 test light) and some fabrication. Former Ryder truck, still has a governor on the throttle. I like it too, but it's noisy inside. |

I like that box Paul! Very functional. I've never seen an aluminum trailer other than the Trailex's which are popular with the 911 & 944 crowd. Yours looks very sturdy.
I don't have any good pics of my trailer right now, but since I got the digital camera I take pictures of everything related to my race car & business. |

It was custom built by a local aluminum boat trailer builder. A guy came to him and wanted a trailer to haul his New Yorker on behind his RV. He gave him $2000 for a down payment, he built it, and the guy never came back. I bought it for $1500. A steal.
It is built with 6" wide flange aluminum beams for the frame with 4" channels for crossmembers. 14" tires with brakes. I've had top shorten it. here is a shot of the rear hold downs. Attached image(s)
