The OEL light flickers where idle should be.

It's .5qt over.

I have to put 80 miles on her this PM, I don't want to roll til I have opinions.

It's setup WAY rich.

I had the same problem a week ago! I went out and purchased a mechanical pressure gauge and installed it! There was plenty of pressure so it is the sender that was bad!

Keep in mind the photos are of a 6 so it will be a bit different on a 4! It cost me $19.99 to check it!

Well..

I am worried, I'll just hold it off idle, and let Crumley deal with it in the AM.

"Flicker, flicker OEL light, how I wish you'd go out tonight..."

Wish me luck #2!

Well, it depends where your idle is set at.

800rpm and with the oil hot, yes - it can flicker at idle. Also, it depends what weight oil. 30wt? You bet.

My motor gets pretty low pressure at idle when she's nice and hot. My friends 2056 with a 30mm T1 pump will have it's oil light flicker at idle.

Blip the throttle and it goes out - that is normal.

What wieght oil are you running again?

30wt, non-detergent, broke in cam today, and she has 83 miles on her.

Yeah, @ 1000 and under, sick.

This motor sounds like it has a motor hidden in it, unlike the first, which sounded like a warp core going critical.

Thanks for all the stuff, I have to get over the paranoia of losing the first motor, I am sure I will sleep better.

$20 sounds... inexpensive..

Jeff

You plan on doing 'something' like Kellzey?

Do what he didn't do! (if you can find something he hasn't done!)

Maybe seek professional help? HE'S CRAZY!

I use two senders, one for the light and a second for the gauge. The oil light is a BIG red one but I guess I am a little paranoid though....

Have to admit, he is cute, who is that holding him in his avatar?
