I would guess one very long day or two days tops start to finish.

I would strip the interior backpad area (to keep it from catching fire), I would mark out where the welds go and grind back the paint to get to clean metal to weld to, locate the mount and weld it in.

I would go back and wire-brush the welds, treat the area with metal-ready and POR-15 the welds. I would then go back and topcoat the POR and touch up any burned off paint.

Then it is time for re-assembly......

Center line of car and shelf is 7" from the belly seam.......lower if you want to use CIS without hitting engine lid latch.

I made my own, so I had to figure it out.

I don't know if the R.J. /Vellios or the PMS mounts have instructions. I would assume so, but it would be worth asking.

Trek, no offense but...

How much convincing does a man need (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
These pics have been all been posted a gazillion times before

When you asked when starting your conversion, pretty much everybody told you to get an RJ (or at least a bulkhead) mount

I dunno, but the PMS bulkhead mount looks to be of the same contruction as the quickbar and seems to have the same ugly blobby welds

And now you're worrying about how much work it is to weld in an RJ mount and if you're going to make it to your next AX?
If I were you, I'd be worrying about how to keep my engine off the pavement...

Trek,

Here is my RJ mmount in my previous car. I called Rich and he walked me through the measurements and installation...2 hours max (assuming engine out).

I liked it so much I cut it out of this car and welded it into my new car also. There is no way in hell I would put one of those other cheap mounts after seeing RJ's work.

This shouldn't even be a question. Go with the mob mentality, call Rich! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)
