the 2.3 is actually a 1.8, haha.
they took my 1.8 and basically got rid of everything but the crank and head cases. - 96mm pistons and sleeves - Forged crank (stroked) - Forged H rods - HP cam grind - oversized valves - titamium spring retainers - new set of Webers (yay! no more FI) - race headers - lightened flywheel - HP clutch kit |

What time will my fellow partiers be leaving Mesquite on Friday? I think Dana and I will be staying at our houses here in Vegas on Thursday. We will leave as early as needed to meet all of you for breakfast.

Hey Toast.....who are you rooming with....I don't think I can trust Howard (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) and since I didn't win the "win a room contest" (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mad.gif) ............................. Lisa (IMG:style_emoticons/default/mrs.K.gif) If you don't trust Howard, you definatly wont trust who i'm rooming with. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/yikes.gif) Uh oh........ (IMG:style_emoticons/default/huh.gif) So is the win a room contest now null and void or can a poor gal recovering from knee surgery catch a break? BTW........I might need some "physical therapy" while I'm there.......has anyone else had knee surgery..........familiar with the rehab PT? REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 25th! That way some of us can actually see it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/tongue.gif) WRX, Yes, we are leaving at 6 AM. So show up earlier if ya want breakfast. Not sure where or what time for that though. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/chowtime.gif) Lisa, I'm not a rehab specialist, but I have been working with my boss daily after a stroke. So I would be willing to help you if you want to just tell me what to do. |

QUOTE BTW........I might need some "physical therapy" while I'm there.......has anyone else had knee surgery..........familiar with the rehab PT? I've had 4... seems to be a different technique for men vs. women. For the gals I believe they want it to be elevated often. Both knees for some reason. Curl your toes as well. They also recommend Hydratherapy. Just the knees though. You could stand up in a hot tub while leaning over the edge. It may be a good idea to have someone stand behind you for "support". It's good to have a mirror there so you can monitor your technique. Modern therapy usually consists of exercise. In the past, they didn't want you to "get on it". Now they recommend you "get on it" often... as long as it doesn't hurt. Hope that helps. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) |
REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, AUGUST 22nd!
Uh oh, now I'm confused - is the registration deadline the 22nd (i.e. today) or the 25th (Friday)? Hey Eric, if I can get the Boss to make up her mind, it will be via SLC, so we'll be joining your caravan. |

oh and BTW is there a deadline date for registration? thx Technically the deadline is fast approaching... FRIDAY the 25th hopefully this will motivate some people to register soon brant Brant is there anyway that you would be willing to take on a late reg from me, coming from NJ is much further than i have seen from the ppl that are coming so far. So many things are weighing in on us actually coming but there is definitly a chance that we will be there and would love to be included. thx. _billy |
