sorry, no 914 content
we took the wifes 924S out AX-ing today (wife's second AX) She's really getting the hang of it Her lines are good, but she needs to build up more speed (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving-girl.gif) Our AX-es are run a little different than you are used to we're diveded into groups of 4 to 5 cars one group lines up on the track and the cars are send of with about 10 sec intervals and you drive 5 or 6 consecutive laps I got stuck in a slow group, so that's why you see me getting real close to a 911 in front of me (I started first, he started last and I closed the gap in 2.5 laps) Anyway... Here's some short clips (me driving) 924S closing in on a 3.2 911 (7MB, rightclick and "save as") 924S (5MB, rightclick and "save as") |

First time on the track with my '74 3.0RS spec 914-6 conversion. Track was partly damp all weekend. Trying to get used to a "new" DE car. Once tires and brakes are warmed up, it's time to chase down a Cayman "S".

Did my second DE in the "new" 914-6. Still trying to dial it in. I can already tell though it is going to be a really great track car. Went to Memphis Motorsports Park and ran the 1.77 mile road course. It uses the drag strip as the main straight. My top speed was 131, but top speed is determined on how fast you come on to the drag strip. As you can see, it is a fast and fun track to run.

Spent this Saturday driving my 914/6 GT replica round VĂ¥ler Race circuit (150 km north of Oslo).
It is fast, but in need of some corrections in regards to the brake bias, the suspension and the newly installed shift mechanism. Already as fast as my track prepared 993 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) After three sessions I was completely exhausted. This was hard work!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NIceEY39uhc |

Degreeoff...you did what I did in my video post on Sept. 13 '09....@ 5:25 of the video I just let go of the wheel and everything was fine..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
Looks like you're getting a lot of reflection from your dash in the windshield....I've got a black cloth dash cover that helps keep that from happening..... What engine do you have?? Sounds good...Webers I'm sure....I've got a modified 3.0 with megaphones in the video..... |

yeah Brother...letting go works and is automatic in this car.... The dash S U C K S before the next event I'll paint some flat black on there....its quite annoying.
The engine is a 2.7 with JE 9.5-1, DC40 cams, crankfire single plug, PMOs and headers to a sport muffler. Had it dyno'd @ 187 @ the wheels last fall. |

because I did what any good 914er would do I let go of the wheel to allow my baby to get straight! I don't tell many folks about that. Only experienced 914 drivers need apply. It's not so much letting go, it's when you let go and when you grasp it again. To get there you need a bit of practice in a safe environment. |
