PEI? You won't get any engines built down there!

Nice place though - just got back myself.

Maybe you should slip over to Moncton and drag Ian Stott back with you for Por'Volks.

Going to try and see Ian when I'm in his neck of the woods next week.

Marks home is fine, been down his street dreaming about the Por'Volks festival. Besides Mark's home is far from Peterborough area. Lol.

Greetings Dave:

Mark is away for another week or so; however in reply to your question about
motels, there is a link on the festival page that includes motels, etc. You should
find something around the $ 75.00 Cdn; you might even want to consider a Bed
& Breakfast since they can be reasonably priced and very scenic.

link: http://www.markaircooled.com/festival_page.htm

Trust this might assist you and looking forward to meeting you at the show.
Have a great trip and bring along some other teeners !!!

Allan

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/poke.gif) Organizers:

Any idea how many 914's are expected? My last query didnt get a response, except for some nonsense that I should check last years posts.

How about a roll call?

I am coming ('74, 2.0l).

My inquiry is necessary to determine if i should bring my wife with me. 3 cars in a field isn't going to do it for her - and i will leave her at home if that's the case. 3 cars will be ok for me, as it will double the # of 914's that I have seen this year.

PS, saw a mustard 914 heading east on QEW at Centennial Pkwy (Hamilton) on Saturday at about 1:30 pm. Anybody from here?

Jim

Gentlemen:

Mark just got back and likely still recovering from the long trip to Atlantic Cdn.
Get to your inquiry; we are expecting about ten 914's as well as fifty plus VW.
SUNDAY August 20th. is the SHOW DAY only; we were thinking of having some
other related activities on the Saturday but not this year.

Jim: bring your wife along and if bored she could always go for shopping in
Port Hope for the day. check out the link to Port Hope activities as listed in the
prior posts above.

See you all there ! (Sunshine is in the long range forecast !!)

Yep, I'm beat, but I can get lots of rest when I'm dead, LOL.

Anyways the main lawn is cut and Mike and Aaron are coming today to cut the the fields and help move some stuff around.
The band called and will be up one evening to check things out.
The lions club is suppost to do the food.

We should have around 10 914's, a few 911's, 50 or so aircooleds and maybe as many watercooled VW's.

Good day all. Well the show is now over until next year. I would like to thank Mark and his wife and Allen, for all the effort put fourth hosting, planning the show. The live band was a great addition and a joy to listen to. The weather this year was gray and threatening rain, however it did not rain. I think the promise of rain kept a lot of last year’s attendees at home. But true to fashion the 914 owners toughed it out and we had a good showing of 914. I will post pictures here later on tonight, tomorrow of the cars that attended. I hope more of YOU will attend next years show. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/thumb3d.gif)
