AAAron- I am sure people will offer up spare rooms, but if they don't, there is a campground just around the corner.

Shirt has yet to be designed. i think there is a post about it in the main thread. No more t-shirts. Need thong underwear

Aaron, looks like I'm getting these days off, if we don't have a last-minute blackout of Vacation in September (like last year). I suggest you disconnect your speedometer cable and flat-tow your teener. Then I can pack an ice-chest full of goodies in the back of your truck, we can double up on tools, camping supplies (if needed), spare tires and anything else we'll need. Bueno si?

I'll be doing a cannonball run (viva-la-RON) back on the eve of 24th as I won't have any vacation days left by then. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

How does this plan sound? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/idea.gif)

Step 1 - So Cal guys and gals meet up early Thursday morning and drive to Vegas. You peeps have to pick your own meeting time / place. Who all is in your group? Joe, Linda, Thomas, Toast, Slits, Howard, Aaron, Brando, who else?

Step 2 - So Cal caravan arrives in Vegas (3 hours after departure). There will be a large force of Vegas teeners waiting to join you. How soon can you get here? 9:14 AM? 10? Let's meet at the Ramada Inn Speedway Casino for brunch. It is on I-15 at the Cheyenne exit. About 3 miles past the downtown interchange and 5 miles before the race track.
Attached Image

Step 3 - We roll in force for our Utah invasion. I-15 north is the only way out of town. Just past St. George we turn East on Hwy 9 to Zion. We then take scenic Hwy 89 North. We could take 89 all the way North until we hit I-70 and then go East to Moab. (boring) I would much rather cut over on Hwy 12. This stretch of road through the Dixie National Forest was my favorite part of my extended tour on the way home from last years RRC. I would love to do it again in the opposite direction. (great road, fantastic scenery, no traffic, no cops) If we go this way we also get to visit Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef National Parks. At Torrey we could either take Hwy 24 West to Hwy 72 North and then I-70 East to Moab - OR - stay on the back roads with Hwy 24 East and then North before we pick up I-70 a little further down stream. Either option is fine by me.

I dont have a hotel reservation for Thursday night, so I would want to leave out before the roosters get up on Friday. Team NARP was talking about this this weekend. We thought about leaving out on Thursday night and invaiding VegasRacers place. (nice of us to ask you ahead of time isn't it? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) ) I do NOT want to travel through Utah durring the night because the whole state closes after sunset, INCLUDING THE GAS STATIONS!! Don't think many of us could make it all the way to Moab from Vegas without at least one stop for gas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif)

I will not be doing the scenic route. I would rather stay on the interstates so that there is more access to civilization (gas and repair stations).

Reason: I want to party on Friday night! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/aktion035.gif) So I would like to get there early so that I can get unpacked, shower and nap before the festivities. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smoke.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif)

john,
technically, the party starts when the first person shows up with a beer in their hand, but last year's first drive was around 1 or 2.
