I finally delivered this car to its owner a week ago. I had it for a year and a half. Work included total disassembly, custom steel rear flares, reinforced chassis, six conversion, full chassis paint job (subbed out).

Very nice !
I luv them rear flares. Is that the car with the infamous Velious oil tank?... did you get it to work?

Whatcha' got for a muffler there?......I'm still looking for a lighter one.

Same car - no leaks from the tank now afaik.

I think the headers are B&B. Don't know who assembled the tailpipe & muffler ass'y. Flowmaster muffler I think.

The seats look similar to Rengade Hybrids?? What are they.
CCLINCREEPERVILLE

They are Renegade Hybrids. Unusual to see them without a logo, huh. I think because the owner supplied the fabric (leather) they didn't apply their logo.

Richard Clewitt of Clewett engineering supplies MotorMeister with the Electromotive ignition parts.

Because of the gas tank... that sub placement is worthless inside the car. I tried it back in 1988 when loud systems where important to me... then I AutoX'd.

Chris, Do you use the "cut and weld" or the "hammer and dolley" method to achieve your rear flares?? They look great and I'm planning on the same for my car. Do you have any pics shot during the process??

I remove nearly the entire quarter panel from the car. I reshape it with power equipment as well as hammer and dolly. Then I add a little new metal at the perimeter and fit it back onto the car, where I carefully butt weld it. More hammer and dolly work is required after grinding down the welds inside and out. A lot of work goes into achieving that look.
Here's one picture. You can see the wooden form that I attach to the car while I'm shaping and fitting the flare.

I think you could buy a brand new Boxster (maybe an S) anyway, for what he spent.

Awesome job, Chris! Nice subtle look for the flares. Hard to tell, just rears, or fronts and rears? Do you do a similar thing for the fronts too?
