[font=Arial][font=Arial][font=Arial]Have a question for the group since some of you may have dealt with shipping cars and stuff across the country. My woman is interested in buying a dog trailer. We live in Dayton Ohio, and the trailer company is in Woodson, Texas. The trailer manufacture will ship it to us for $1400, but I remember most of you can get a 914 shipped from one coast to the other for about $1000, so surly a trailer would be in that price range or less. Has anyone got a lead or can refer us to a shipping company that handles stuff like that? The trailer has tandem axels, electric brakes and is about the size of a mid size pop-up camper.

Mapquest says it 2266 miles round trip (35 hrs) @ $3 a gal and if you get 20 mpg it would cost you $350 to drive there and back to get it. Three days @ 12 hrs per day behind the wheel add into the cost 2 nights hotel rooms and food... $650 total

In less the wife says ' it has to be that exact trailer. Get a copy of Auto ,Car or Truck Trader, lots of adds for trailer manufactors in the back. Also on line ,these all seem to be in Ind. shipping much less than from Texas. Seems to me you could find what you need closer. Dave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif)
