Just parked teener in the lot after lunch, and this guy pulls up behind me and wants to talk. He asked a lot of questions about the car and how I liked it. Turns out he's a new 914 owner (not just one but two). He bought a white '73 1.7 on Friday and then bought a red '75 1.8 on Sunday. I've seen the white one around town before and it looks pretty ragged. Didn't know it was for sale. (Probably a good thing, cuz I really don't have a place for 3 teeners.) Anyway, told him about the club and exchanged phone numbers. He only lives about a mile from me. Gonna get together and check out the red one. He sez that one is in pretty good condition. He's been a VW owner for years and always was intrigued by the 914. Now he has two. How about that, two 914 addicts in this little town.
