915 output flanges and 911 stub axle came from a mid to late '70s 911 (~'75 - '79) and the hubs came from a early 911 (~'69 - '73?) ... FYI Last time I was by Garold Shaffer's house he had about 20- 110mm 915 output flanges and 911 stub axles |

thanks - am specifically interested in the outboard side - the setup I have on the shelf is 110 mm (I think) stub axle.
I have one of these on the shelf too of which the CV joint fits the stub axle ... my plan was to have made an axle with 911 on one end and suby DOJ on the inside. |

...you probably have a 108mm CV on the outside. You will need the 5-lug early 911 hub as previously mentioned as well.

it's been a while since i started this project. i had all the parts, but i was waiting for the right time to redo the complete rear suspension ... yesterday, i went up to McMark's and we took out the old trailing arms and axles and shocks and prepared my new trailing arms and the axles. McMark finished the job today, and now i have: - new (unbend) trailing arms - new mueller roller bearings - new koni adjustable shocks - new axles with brand new 944 CVs (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) Andy PS: for the axles, i used, tranny to wheel: 915 (911, '75 - '79) coarse spline 6-bolt 100mm outputshafts -> 944 100mm CV -> modified 914 axle shaft -> 944 100mm CV -> 911 ('75 - '79) 6-bolt 100mm stub axle -> 911 ('69 - '73?) hub = real 5-lug! on top, the stock 914 axle, bottom, the new axle using 944 and 911 parts: and installed: Andy do you have a 901 or 915 I did that conversion and finding the 911 stub axle which slides right into the 901 was difficult. Andy, what did you do with your rear brakes? I went with vented rotors and Boxster brakes, neither of which has anything to do with the axles ... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I bought a single 930 turbo axle - has the same CV's as far as I can tell on either side (inner and outer). I pressed off the cv joints (didn't need much pressure) from the shaft and have bolted them up to the inner side of the hub - all seems to fit ok ... |
