Your numbers are correct (cant debate that). It comes down to feel and pedal effort. Some people want a rock solid pedal that takes tons of effort. Most people want what they feel in their Honda daily driver.

Can we easily get a 22mm MC ??

They have power assisted brakes. Just like the others.

I meant they are vacuum boosted like the rest.

We call them "power assisted".. its still vacuum.

911E came with S calipers - hydropneumatic struts have 3,5" mounting ears. if the struts in question have 'M' calipers, they won't be hydropneumatics.

actually, i suspect there are very, very few hydropheumatic cars still around. most of them started leaking air and oil badly in the late 70's and got replaced at great cost with conventional torsion bar suspensions. and not infrequently, the 'S' calipers got sold off to help recoup part of the cost. i'm pretty sure that's what happened to my car ('71 E)... and since the hydropneumatic struts had a rising rate, it was decreed that such cars therefore did not need antiroll bars, because the struts provided adequate roll control. my car does, at least, have the mounting holes and cover plates...

Hmm.....I just bought a new master cylinder that the guy said was from a GT3 (or maybe a GT2 I don't remember). I think it's a 25 or 26 mm unit. I'll have to check the box again. I got it on E-Bay for about $40 and thought I got a killer deal. I have a set of front and rear calipers from a 1991 C2 which I believe are the same as the ones on my 1989 944 Turbo (which has the upgraded 944 Turbo brakes). I fear this master cylinder will need legs of Thor to operate after reading these posts (or at least legs developed by years of banned substances THC, etc.) Have power brakes ever been put on a 914? Are there any advantages to using power brakes vs. regular brakes? Or are they just added weight?

Which rotors did you use with the 944T/964 brakes? 944T or 964 rotors? or carrera or some other rotors.
