I had inquired a few weeks ago about the best source for fiberglass Gt bumpers and valances. I ended up going with Getty. Someone on the board had asked to reply on the fit. The front bumper did not need to much adjustment, slight sanding of the edges to fit. The valance had to be heathed with a propane torch and slightly bent but It ended up fitting well. I would definetly use Getty again. Attached are the mock up pics of the bumper and valance. Also attached are the pics of the oil cooler system that started the whole process.

Thanks for the kind words, I wish the car had more wear and tear but I have not had much luck with motors, so it while I wait It gets a lot of TLC.

Did the Getty bumpers come with the mounts attached, or did you have to glass them in?

Thanks again. Qarl, I had to glass them In and fiddle with them in order to get them to fit correctly. That was the hardest part.

My car aspires to be like yours!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif) (same color but '75 heavy rubber baby buggy bumpers!)
Did you do the rear bumper as well? How did it fit? Have you thought about rear lower valances? If any? |

Wow! Nice work. The car looks great.
I'm interested in what is required to mount the FG bumpers. Any chance you could take a few photos of the backside of the bumpers with the brackets in place? Thanks. |

I also just recently put on Getty bumpers (less than 2 months ago). I had basically the same experience. Glassing on the mounts was the most time consuming part, and I had to do some minor fitment adjustments. I still have to file down some trim where the fog light grilles go, but I'm very pleased so far.
Definitely worth their price. -Tony |
