Bay Area teeners are invited to join the show as a "club".

We have three 914's commited and 3 more considering joining the fun. Free admission and the opportunity to represent our 914's to thousands of attendees... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif)

And I was just about to ask if you were going to bring the neo to a teener gathering sometime soon... So, any chance of an organized meet 'n greet of teeners on Saturday? Just figuring that's the best day for maximum turnout -- I'm tempted to take a day off to catch the show.

Great idea, sounds like an "event" in the works (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Participants will have passes we can "share" and man our corral to answer questions...

What did you expand your garage for??? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif) Did Dan get the lift last year? Hope you decided what to do with your motor.

I hear ya, I got very little done lately except layout my harness to figure out the connectors and ordered a Boxster clutch pedal asm...

I'll be one of the three - come on down rest of the SF Bay Area - should be a good chance to spread the "Teener fever"!
Keep 'em flying,

What would be involved in turning up as a club? None of my cars are fit for a show floor...

Here's what I have from them so far. "Show Quality" is not defined but you can assume clean damage free condition. Thousands of people will view the cars so we should present good examples of our model. I was estimating 5 cars but the organizer said we can have more.

I'm really interested in joining the 914 crowd and getting into the San Jo show reduced price or free. I really want to see Neo in person. My '72 looks great from 15 feet and good up close. I took it to GAF and it fit right in, even got its pic on Pelican's site.

Felix- if you could post or PM more info I could definitely make it Sat-Sun and even more definitely if it is not raining for the drive down. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Chris: This is part of why I was suggesting we try to organize a specific time to meet 'n greet around Felix' car down at the San Jose show. For various reasons I've managed to miss the weekend get togethers I've heard rumor of over on the peninsula.

Heck, I haven't even made it to the Diablo PCA Saturday breakfasts on account of the uncivilized hour they meet at. If we were meeting at Thunder Hill I'd be there at 6AM, but up and out at 7:15AM for a cholesterol and transfats special at Denny's? Not likely...

Details from the coordinator:
QUOTE

Move-in will most likely be Wednesday, January 10 in the afternoon hours through the evening hours, but I can confirm that later. The biggest move-in requirement is the cars can’t have more than a quarter tank (1/4) of fuel in them. This is a fire marshal regulation at the convention center. Move-out will be after the show closes to the public on Monday, January 15 at 7pm. Additional move-out time is available on Tuesday, January 16. Just make arrangements on show site.

Show Location:
San Jose McEnery Convention Center
408 South Almaden Blvd. San Jose, CA 95110
(between Almaden Blvd. and Market St.)

There is no registration fee. This would be complimentary space for anyone participating all show days. In exchange, we will include the display in the overall promotional efforts of the show. We will also give you guys auto show tickets and exhibitor badges to get you in-and-out privileges during the entire show.

Originally this display was listed under my "Bay Area Conversions" but will instead exhibit as a unified 914 enthusiast group. I plan to display NARP and 914club stickers that I currently have, and whomever else wants theirs displayed. Can a 914world or Roadglue sticker be made in time? I would also like to show vendor stickers or logos like Ghiaspecialties, Original Customs, TC Designs, MSDSinc, Series9, Renegade, etc.

Current count:
My grey neo914-6
Tom's blue Subaru 914
Olav's orange 914-6
Dan's red race 914
Michael's black 914 LE
Ed's green 914

Maybe
Ken's black concourse 914-6
Trevor's blue 914

Sat 13th lunch and photo. More details to follow...
Steve
Peter
Brent
Chris
