My car is washed and almost ready (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) but since it looks so good I want to go drive it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blue914.jpg)

There has been a lot of advertising for this event in the past week. It seems that I can't turn a page of the Mercury News with out seeing a add. I think this is the first year they are expanding the show to include a aftermarket section with the DUB guys, Corvette club as well as classic Mustangs. In the past there has been space for a few club cars but never a whole hall given to cars other than new models. I am excited!!!

I think we will represent the 914 contingent very well. You're right...in the past a couple race Porsches and a few mustangs from the Shelby club...this is going to be nice....I plan on taking the car down on Wednesday afternoon, anyone else going to be there?

I will be heading down at 10am, I have to be able to drop off the car and make it back home before going into work at 1pm. Hopefully the hall will be run smoothly enough to get the cars staged in a reasonable amount of time. I drove by the south hall today and there are already people working in it.

Participants in/out badges will be given at entry. Your names are on the list.
Looks like Tom, Micheal, and Dan will bring their cars in the morning. I'll stop by when we layout our area and to distribute the tickets. Olav, Ed, and I will bring our cars in the afternoon. Remember to have <1/4 tank of gas and bring wipe towels. Make sure you get the info to Kathy for the signage. |

Felix, I will be there about 4-5pm on Wednesday. Should I just look for the entrance to the south hall? Do they have a list of names? Have most of the plackards made still need info and photos from you, Ed and Michael. Ken |

We need representatives at our display to answer questions and "protect" our cars (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) Tentative display schedule: Wed: set up - all participants, Brent to help. Thursday noon 5PM- Brent, ? Thursday 5-10PM - Felix, Chris J, Dan T, Olav Friday 10AM - 4PM - ? Friday 4PM - 10PM - Olav Sat 10AM - 2PM - Chris R, everyone at noon, ? Sat 2PM - 6PM - Jenny & Brian? Sat 6PM - 10PM - Ken, Jenny & Brian?, Olav Sun 10AM - 2PM - Ken, Jenny & Brian?, ? Sun 2PM - 7PM- Ken, Jenny & Brian?, Olav Monday 10AM - 2PM - Michael N Monday 2PM - 5PM - ? Monday 5PM - 7PM- Felix, Michael N, Olav Anyone have some Rennlist or Roadglue stickers??? Felix, Brian and I have my cousin's birthday party to attend saturday around dinner time, we can't stay past 4:30pm. Are we hard up for people to sit at the display? I figured it'd be a regular 914 event, with people standing around drinking coffee, playing pocket pool, scratching their asses, etc.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif) I didn't realize we were doing shifts. Are we planning lunches together, and if so, who will be watching the cars while others eat? Also, do we (and by we, I mean the people who don't have pretty cars to show off) need to secure our own tickets to the event, or are there extra ones? Thanks, Jen |

Jenny and all,
The show participants each have one in/out badge for the duration of the show that they can loan when not at the show. The schedule can help us coordinate any sharing of them, PM one of them to make arrangements. The participants also each have one ticket for their spouse or friend if they need/want it. I'll give the extras to whomever makes the time to be at the show and our display. They sent 10 tickets for 5 cars but they didn't account when we increased to 7 cars. I will ask for more. A representative was requested but not mandatory to be at the display so we don't need more than one person at a time. It's mainly a curtesy to answer questions and added security for our cars. The only planned activity is a lunch in the show (requiring entry) and photo on Saturday. If many people don't want to attend the show we can also have a lunch and photo outside the facility. I'm sure we can leave the cars unattended during this time. We are representing our community, let's refrain from: QUOTE playing pocket pool, scratching their asses, etc.. I don't know if it would be appropriate but i was thinking of doing some kind of display for the LED taillights. They still need work but I have a working set that can be shown. Due to time restraints I would need a little help setting up to make it presentable. If you think I can present it there and someone want to help me out I can tell you what I need. I will also give the display to someone that will be there starting Thursday because I won't be able to make it there till Saturday.
If you want to help send me a PM and I'll give you my number and we can discuss details. Thanks |

Dropped off the car this morning and met Felix and Tom to stage the cars. Not nearly as hectic as I thought it would be. It was actually pretty easy to get the cars staged.
Talking to one of the show managers he stated that during the show that there will not be someone checking for tickets to get in to the south hall. What that means for us is that anyone who wants to get to the 914 area and not into the regular show can go to the south hall and meet up with the group at the 914 display area for free. |

Thanks dood! I might swing by Friday afternoon, if that's alright. Should I plan to get a ticket from you for that as well, or just sneak in thru the south hall?
