Surface rust only. No scaling. Previous owner partially painted floor over the years to prevent rust. Trunk has five 1/16" micro holes drilled. Below the paint and surface rust is 100% solid metal.

This is the bad... battery tray and hell hole sheet metal. There is absolutely no damage to the rear trailing arm or suspension console. This car has never been hit. All 100% original panels. No rust other than this area. (Note the missing insulation pad... the brown on the firewall is not rust, it's dried on insulation and glue)

To be honest... I'm thinking about keeping it...I am surprised and shocked as to how rust free this car is. I think I've learned a lesson.

I'd keep it if I were you. That hell hole / engine shelf sheet metal is cheap. Maybe $250 total for all the sheet metal.

I'm glad to see she's not as bad as described & hope you keep her! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/burnout.gif)
