hmmmmm..... fred-neck? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

well absent anything presenting an issue.... put me down as an attendee.

may or may not have mine back on the road... need to chase an oil leak, exhaust leak and change out the clutch but all that has been side tracked with finishing the basement. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smash.gif) so may end up driving the scoob.

besides, it might not be so damn humid round that time!!!!

cheers....

QUOTE(Vacca Rabite @ Jun 8 2007, 05:08 PM) *

I chatted with Kerry. He is fallout from the December Divorce, but is will to help however he can to get ECC2007 back on track. I will volenteer to help plan it, but I am going to be buried in school work most of the time, so I won't be able to take charge. My MBA, plus sitting for my PMP in august plus work is going to have me it to be tied.

ECC will draw about 30 - 50 914s and assorted other vehicles if it is held in the Mid-Atlantic. I think it is the Mckeldon Shelter at Patapsco Park can hold near 200 cars, has spaces for grilling, open grass, some volleyball courts and a large pavilion shelter. No camping, though - and we would need to clean up before we left. There is a fee to use it, $200 if memory serves. If people are interested, I will look into it further.

At my place in York, we can put 50 914s in so long as the owners don't mind parking on the lawn. I have yet to clear with my wife, so it is NOT a definate location - yet at least.

So, cliffs notes:
1)Kerry will help, but will not lead
2)I will help, but will not lead
3)Someone need to step up to lead
4)Possible Locations in PA, RI, MD, VA and GA. Best locations will be in the Central PA - northern VA area.

I will be out in the woods all weekend, and will check back in on monday.

Lets make this HAPPEN!

Zach

I like Dallastown! Picturesque PA - gorgeous & quaint. I'll be there if it happens. 914 is a maybe, since it's being prepped for Charlotte. Still, it's only a hundred miles away & that could b cleaned off over the winter.

Zach - anything I can do help, 914 or no, let me know. I'm just doen the road in Blue Bell. Willing to help.

Josh, no lift...just jacks and muscle....if it is for the engine lift, check out Harbor freight in Laurel...they had some interesting lift tables. ( I guess they could lift the car if you used 2 of them.....

O.K. , Who locally can be in charge of getting a Keg of that brown foamy stuff

They must be a highly respecded pillar of the comunity, Oh I forgot we all are.

Driving my 914 from N.W. Ohio doesn't bode well to bring a keg.

So If someone will take the responsibility of aquiring it,and making sure it is

there at the correct time and Temp. I'll buy it as my donation, I have know idea

as to price in that area. Sam Adams maybe????? And What size????? the

person who takes charge of that ,let me know the price and i will send a check or pay pal.

If Sam Adams isn't ok,then pick your favorite. Dave (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slap.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

P.S.

Also I need the name ans address of a ok motel close to the site, nothing fancy

just a place to sleep . Dave

Wow Dave, that's really generous! Sam Adams rocks, or we also have fine Maryland and Pennsyltucky beers readily available too... Clipper City, Flying Dog (they recently bought the Frederick brewery), Appalachian Brewing, Troegs, Stoudts, Victory, oh yeah, I sample them all when I get the chance. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

I'm the guy who started the whole keg tangent. I'm planning on brewing a batch specifically for the cookout... my kegs are only 5 gallons since I use Corny kegs (which used to be used for Coca-Cola before they switched to the aseptic bag system). Anyway, the current plan is to do a hoppy IPA and dry hop it in the keg for more of that hop aroma. I love the hops... they way they smell, the flavor they impart to my beers, the way they have sticky buds with crystals that look just like... well, you get the picture.

We actually have a sizeable front lawn. You long distance folks could camp out overnight if you'd like. And there's carpeted floorspace in the basement too.

A Hampton Inn is 2 miles away as well.

Barber Dave - Frederick has some nice "Local Brew's" - I could look into them to find some suitable "suds".

QUOTE(crash914 @ Jun 28 2007, 04:17 PM) *

Hmmm...

For those who are visiting from out of town,

We could most likely find bed and floor space around my house...you will all have to share a bathroom with my kids...other than that, I have room for some.....

Mid September in "Fredneck (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) " is the best time of year to be there. I hope the weather is perfect cause I'm looking forward to the drive- 211E to 15N & no highways. I'd be going nuts if I did'nt have the six to play with since I've been getting the LE ready for Charolette next year. The six may be a pig but the Civic, DD, has no umph & long rides in the six are (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif) .

I sent him an email back in June, which he responded to. I don't think he checks here at all. I am not even sure if he has his 914, he was talking about selling it last year.

I got a reply from my email last week. He was to put together all his info from last year and send it to me. I've not heard from him since. I'll shoot another email reminder to him tonight and see what's up.

Matt, can you contact that hotel near you and see if they're willing to cough up a good group rate for 10 or more rooms? If they need more "persuading" let me know.

I've got a source lined up for T-shirts, we can do heat transfer or embroidery. I'm trying to wait for Kerry, but we may need to create our own logo. Any graphic artists out there?

.....movin' right along!
