The running boards for my Chev Dually are aluminum diamond plate and are looking very dull. Called around about how to bring back the posished look and none of the truck acc shops were any help.
Figuring that what I have is clear coat shot over polished aluminum I tried a bit of paint remover. That took off most of the clear coat and left me with the polished aluminum with dull spots here and there. Unremoved clear coat?
Thought I might strip them, quick buff out, then shoot with clear gloss.
Any thoughts or comments?
Am I on the right track here? I know a few of you have done some amazing paint projects and have quite a bit of experience. This diamond plate thing is new to me.
TIA
