Joe Giveth and Taketh. First he gave me extra seconds by supplying me with an excellent burger and chilli. Then he gave me a tip on driving technique and took back 5 seconds from my first session.
Thanks Toast for taking the night-time pics. Sadly only a very few came out. Need more light. -Tony |

I had a blast!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/new_shocked.gif) Special thanks to Toast for being an awesome cheer leader, (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) and Brando for being my personal information kiosk. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/051103-stupid4.gif) Didn't mean to make myself a pain in the ass Brandon, but you made the mistake of parking next to me and introducing yourself. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) My times weren't great, but I don't think the car had a WHOLE lot more to give. I wish I could've stayed for timed runs, but I was just too damn tired. Still, I am happy with my quick time; 74.377. I'll post some of my bro's pictures as soon as he can get them to me. I wanna go again!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

Hey Mark, no problem! I wish I could have stayed longer to give you a few pointers. As I was leaving Tony asked and I hope the info I gave trimmed some of his times. As long as you had a blast, that's all that matters (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I also left after practice runs. I was getting ~76-77 seconds on the first session and then after consultation with some other teeners I dropped my times by 5 seconds. My best time was 71.915 (with a few cones).
So thanks Brando and Joe. You helped a lot! -Tony |

Are you talking about the still pending 914?Calendar Pics? (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) I took pics with yours and Tony's camera. I guess unfortunalty hardly any pics of the 163 that I took turned out! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/ohmy.gif) Bummer because I had a great spot too... had a visibility of 3 turns! Sadly, I guess it was too dark for the pics to turn out where I was. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) Looks like Marks bro had THE spot though! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/clap56.gif) Mark and Tony, You guys are welcome! I will (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) you guys on anytime! Mark, Your scores were Excellent for a :newbie: Best time besides the Lotus (63.) was a 65. (I think) I think that your time was pretty damn awesome in comparison for a first timer!!! In timed runs the times were slower than the times early in the day as the track had cooled. I saw some good runs. Some 65's and a 64 by drivers other than the Lotus. Thomas and Hershel were both 1/2 second quicker that that car.

Mark, Your scores were Excellent for a :newbie: Best time besides the Lotus (63.) was a 65. (I think) I think that your time was pretty damn awesome in comparison for a first timer!!! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smilie_pokal.gif) Why thank you. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wub.gif) Overall, I am very happy with how I drove, however, I did find some things that I need to work on. Starts is definitely one of them. Also, I've already started working on heel-toe downshifting into first. I've got heel-toe pretty dialed for 2nd-5th, but getting into first smoothly takes a little more consideration and quite a bit more time. However, pulling the back strait from 2K RPM in second was really hurting my time, so I'm working on it. Great event, great learning experience, and an awesome adrenaline rush. Beats having to be extra extra careful in the mountains. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif) And Toast, get that battery tray in before the next one!
