I replace my dash bulbs and replaced the windshield washer switch. now the turn signal will not work nor will the windshield washer. it was working before. fuses are fine. hazard light works fine. gauge lights all work. my car is a 1973 model.
I rechecked all connections on the gauges and all seems fine. any clues as where to search next? has anyone dissected a turn signal switch and a windshield washer switch? I would like a pic of the internal mechanism. thanks, will |

Sounds like a dirty, loose, or oxidized connector somewhere in the area of where you did your work. A dirty or oxidized connector is hard to find and usually cannot be seen with the naked eye.
Sometimes removing and replacing connections will give a better connection. Also double check for correct wiring. Might be time to get the voltmeter and schematic out and start looking for power and ground on the offending units. Spoke |
